Corsica offers a world apart, defined by granite mountains, crystalline coves, and fragrant maquis scrubland. Bonifacio crowns sheer white cliffs above turquoise seas, while Calvi blends a medieval citadel with a bustling port. Cap Corse unfolds in winding coastal roads and terraced vineyards, and the UNESCO-listed Scandola Nature Reserve reveals red volcanic cliffs that drop dramatically into the sea, accessible only by boat. Cutting through the island’s spine, the GR20 trail traverses high peaks and wildflower meadows, making Corsica a striking setting for both rugged adventure and lyrical storytelling.
Corsica lends itself to Mediterranean adventures, tales of isolation, and narratives of resilience. Its rugged landscapes bring authenticity to stories of resistance fighters, bandits, or modern nomads, while its settings can double for other Mediterranean locales such as Sardinia or Crete. The island’s unspoiled beaches frame romance and surf films, and the sharp contrasts between coastal cliffs and mountainous interiors provide diverse climatic zones within a single location.
BARAMON manages Corsica productions by coordinating ferry and flight logistics, engaging local boat operators for excursions to Scandola, and securing permits from regional parks and communes. We hire mountain guides for GR20 sequences, liaise with shepherds and winemakers to integrate Corsican culture authentically, and provide bilingual fixers fluent in both Corsican and French. For projects on the island, we also collaborate closely with our long-time partner, Casa Bonita Studios in Calvi, ensuring seamless local expertise and support.
